After losing three teeth in an operation on Friday, dental staff provided Liam, 5, with a medical certificate addressed to the tooth fairy since he couldn’t bring his teeth home.
Liam’s mother, Tracey Seach, said he was scared the tooth fairy wouldn’t visit, but staff helped ease his anxiety upon admission by providing him with pencils and colouring-ins and issued him the special note, which later saw him land $50 from the elusive fairy.
She praised all staff involved for their exceptional service throughout his surgery.

Post-op nurse Angela Trevaskis said it was an example of effective teamwork that occurred at Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) for both adults and children each day.
MLHD oral health promotions officer Jennifer Lang added it highlighted the importance of regular dental visits.
