What better way to bask in arguably Wagga’s best time of the year than with a festival celebrating local produce?
The Spring Street Festival is on this Saturday at the Victory Memorial Gardens, and organiser Alexandra Mack is hoping the inaugural event can grow into an institution.
“It’s an all-inclusive celebration of spring,” Ms Mack said.
There will be 25 food and market stalls on Baylis Street operating from 11am to 8pm.
There will also be a pop-up bar on the Baylis and Morrow streets intersection.
Nine hours of entertainment are planned for the day, with cooking demonstrations and music to keep patrons amused.
There will also be a 270-metre communal dining table.
Proceeds from the event will go to Buy a Bale, which helps struggling farmers.
