The late withdrawal of two key players forced a reshuffle for both semi-finalists at Robertson Oval.
East Wagga-Kooringal lost fullback Trent Garner, who was struck down during the week with a stomach bug, while The Rock-Yerong Creek went in without midfielder Dale Hugo who was in bed with the ’flu.
Pies coach David Pieper said he was a big loss.
“He's our major ball winner so we had to shuffle a few things around and the midfield really stood up.”
