Kathy O'Hara
TOP Sydney jockey Kathy O’Hara will ride at Wagga next Friday as guest of the Murrumbidgee Turf Club.
O’Hara is available for rides at the meeting, which will feature the longest race in NSW, the $17,500 Mitchell Park Racing Riverina Cup (3800m).
The Riverina Cup has been moved to this meeting and replaces the Benchmark 60 Handicap (2000m).
The RIverina Cup carries a $3000 bonus to the winner if they have had a metropolitan start in the past 12 months.
It is also the last leg of the MTC Stayer Series, which has already been won by Mr Sommerville with $8000 going to trainer Trevor Sutherland and connections.
The $15,000 Ian Reid Sprint (1200m) will also feature on Friday’s card.
