car theft leads to arrest

Police arrested the boy, from Dareton, on Thursday morning in Ashmont.

He was charged over the theft of a Mitsubishi ute from a Kooringal home on the night of May 24 that was later found burnt out in Jubilee Park.

A forensic examination of the vehicle conducted by police linked the theft to the boy, who had previously been on bail over similar offences and was also charged with breaching his bail conditions.
