Learning how to grow plants and trees is just one of those things.
Schools and daycare centres across Wagga took up a spade for school tree day on July 24.
They planted trees in a bid to teach their students more about how to care for and grow trees.
School tree day is part of a national tree day which is celebrating 20 years of promoting planting trees in the community.
National tree day will take place on July 26 with two events happening in Wagga.
One at Estella Rise from 10.30am to 12pm and the other at Hilltop from 10am to 12pm.
