ONLINE betting giant Sportsbet have jumped aboard Wagga’s five-legged filly Spart Parts with some novelty markets.
The story of Trevor Sutherland’s filly has created a storm this week with national interest in the story behind Spare Parts being born with a fifth leg.
Sportsbet have priced Spare Parts a $1001 chance to win the Melbourne Cup, or a Newmarket Handicap, Lightning Stakes or Galaxy Handicap.
They lowered the odds to $251 for Spare Parts to win the Wagga Town Plate.
“They say a horse will need to grow another leg to win and Spare Parts fits that bill,” sportsbet.com.au’s Christian Jantzen said.
“She was basically born with an extra fetlock, hoof and cannon bone, giving her three front legs.
“She’s survived surgery and if she wins a few races she will become a leg-end in Wagga.”
The two-year-old has had just two race starts but is due to have her third at Wagga on Friday.
Sportsbet have also released a market on how many races Spare Parts will win in her career.
They have gone up $1.10 for under 4.5, or $6.00 for over 4.5.
