A FORMER Christian Brother arrested at Cootamundra and charged with alleged indecent assault offences in Goulburn and Manly has waived his right to a committal hearing in the Local Court.
The case of Peter Nicholas Joseph Lennox, 75, was mentioned in Downing Centre Local Court on July 16.
After he waived his right to a committal hearing, Lennox’s case was listed for arraignment in the District Court on Friday.
Due to his age and ill health, Lennox will be excused from attending that day if he is legally represented.
Lennox was arrested on November 10 and charged with nine counts of indecent assault of a male and one count of act of indecency.
Police allege Lennox committed offences against school boys between 1973 and 1976.
He was charged six months after police in the Northern Beaches Local Area Command received information about alleged assaults against five boys.
