DECORATED Coleambally footballer Shane Pound will front the AFL Riverina independent tribunal on Thursday night.
Pound was reported for unduly rough conduct on Northern Jets assistant coach Sam Fisher in the round 13 Farrer League clash at Coleambally last Saturday.
Under the new tribunal system, Pound was awarded a two-game suspension but could accept one game with an early guilty plea.
Coleambally have decided to contest the penalty and will front the tribunal at 7pm on Thursday night at Ganmain.
Pound will look to use his clean record over his long and distinguished career to his advantage at the hearing.
It comes at an important time for the Blues, who are fighting to save their season.
Last Saturday’s loss to the Jets dropped Coleambally to fifth position on the Farrer League ladder with five rounds remaining.
The Blues face a tough trip to Gumly Oval on Saturday to take on undefeated ladder leaders East Wagga-Kooringal.
They finish with games against Marrar, The Rock-Yerong Creek, Barellan and Temora.
