GRONG GRONG’S innovative earth park continues to flourish, with a toddler’s play area the next stage to be developed thanks to a $5000 grant from the Foundation for Regional and Rural Renewal.
"We are going to make a start on it this year," said secretary of the Grong Grong Earth Park Committee, Gemma Meier. "The plan is that everything is either recycled or natural materials, such as log stumps and things like that.
“We want to make it attractive to children, with sand, water play, a secret garden, fairy garden and balance beams for children aged four and under. The aim is for young families within a 50-kilometre radius of Grong Grong to say to other families 'we'll meet you at Grong Grong for a coffee and a play'."
