SIX-YEAR-OLD Wagga boy Koby Little is learning more about the human body – but he’s also learning about a whole range of services offered in the community.
It's an initiative of NAIDOC Week, which was officially launched at the weekend. The week aims to draw awareness and celebrate the contributions of Aboriginals and Torres Straight Islanders.
And it was a hive of activity at the Tolland Community Centre on Monday for the second in a bumper week of community events.
The day was designed to strengthen the relationship between the community and available services.
So between kids paintings and free food, it was impressed on spectators the importance of supporting parents and children in the early years of a child’s development.
NAIDOC Week continues.
