MARCUS Stanford, the twin brother of teacher Stephanie Scott's alleged killer, will remain behind bars after being charged with assisting his sibling after the murder.
The 24-year-old did not apply for bail in Central Local Court in Sydney on Thursday afternoon, after being extradited from his home state of South Australia.
Marcus, who is charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder, will appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court via video link on June 17.
Magistrate Les Mabbutt ordered a brief to be served by July 29 before Marcus, wearing a dark-coloured hoodie, was led out of the court dock.
It is understood he has agreed to be formally interviewed by detectives investigating Ms Scott's case.
His arrest comes after Marcus's twin brother, Vincent Stanford, was charged with murdering and sexually assaulting Ms Scott in Leeton in April.
Police allege Vincent sent items belonging to Ms Scott in the post to Marcus, who then disposed of them, after Ms Scott's death.
