A POLL on the Advertiser website has backed Tarcutta Street as most worthy of a speed increase.
It comes as Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) invited Wagga motorists to “have their say” on speeding up some of the city’s roads, after two driving schools called on several roads to be lifted from 50km/h to 60km/h.
The poll – asking readers what one road needed a speed change – had 222 responses on Thursday morning.
At time of publication, Tarcutta Street had received 52 votes (23.42 per cent) and topped the list.
It was closely followed by Lake Albert Road on 48 votes (21.62 per cent) and Kincaid Street on 47 votes (21.17 per cent).
The Sturt Highway near Hammond Avenue at Forest Hill was fourth on 24 votes.
Ashmont Avenue, Fernleigh Road and Urana Street were the most popular reader submitted answers.
Six people submitted “all of the above” and two people said “none of the above”.
