Breastfeeding is a right
In response to Nicole Barlow's article of June 5, titled "My child, my right", I just wanted to clarify that "tastefully" or not, babies are entitled to be breastfed wherever and whenever they need to.
It's not a "debate".
This right is protected by law - specifically the Federal Sex Discrimination Act 1984, and the NSW Anti-Discrimination Amendment Act 1977.
It's encouraging to see that so many Wagga cafes are aware of this legislation.
If any local businesses would like to show their support for mothers in the form of a "Breastfeeding Welcome Here" sticker for their front window, please email the Wagga Australian Breastfeeding Association at waggaaba@gmail.com.
We all benefit when we provide more support for new parents.

Support for gamblers
In this weekend’s Weekend Advertiser, it was incorrectly written that I work at Mission Australia as a Gambling Help Counsellor which is no longer the case.
I left Mission Australia in February this year to work as a Gambling Help Counsellor at Wagga Family Support.
At my new place of employment, I offer the same caring, friendly, non-judgmental gambling help counselling, just now from a different service and can be contacted on 6921 7675.

There is no God
I noticed a little black spot on my spotlessly clean bathroom tiles.
I poked my finger at it to remove it but it moved to another tile. And I thought “What is going on here?”
Then I noticed it was a minute insect. Now an insect always has a head, thorax (chest part) and abdomen (belly part), six legs, eyes, brains and all the inward body parts.
This one had wings as well.
And I said to myself “There goes another one of God’s miraculous creations”.
You may well say “There is no such thing as creation, there is only evolution”.
If there is only evolution then of course there is no God. Hey, you know what? You are right.
The remarkable thing is that this forward statement “There is no God” is literally written in the Bible, more than once even.
If you want to check up on this look it up in any Bible or on your mobile or the internet – Psalm 10 verse 4 and Psalm 14 verse 1.
Now you know.

FIFA probe political?
I’LL BE darned, it only took the American FBI 17 years to discover corruption in FIFA. Just in time to halt the proceedings so that Russia won’t be able to host the world cup. Does it sound a tad political?
At the slow pace of the FBI’s investigation they would have trouble tracking a bleeding elephant through the snow. This whole show wouldn’t have something to do with Russia releasing documents on the internet exposing American secrets for the last 70 years?
Is there anyone else who would like to join me in my scepticism?
