THE connections of Wagga stayer Heysen will have all eyes on the computer on Friday morning as they look to see if their horse has made the field for the $140,000 Wagga Gold Cup (2000m).
Heysen is first emergency for the Cup and needs a scratching to force his way into the field.
The final deadline for scratchings is 7.30am on Friday morning.
Wagga trainer Wayne Carroll scratched Heysen from Thursday’s Benchmark 60 Handicap (2000m) in the hope that a spot in the Cup field will come up.
There has been several Cup scratchings in previous years but this year is looking unlikely.
