A LOW-SPEED police chase in Darlington Point on Sunday afternoon ended after the highway patrol deployed road spikes.
Inspector John Wadsworth from Griffith Police said a 36-year-old man was taken into custody and was due to appear in Griffith Local Court on Monday morning.
Police will allege the man led them on a low-speed chase on Hay Road in a white 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer.
They will further allege that Charles Henry Haas, of Darlington Point, forced entry into a home on Hay Road.
Inspector Wadsworth said Mr Haas was not known to the occupants, who were believed to have forced Mr Haas out of the house at which point he got into his car.
What followed was a series of stop-start encounters between police and Mr Haas.
Highway patrol later utilised road spikes and flattened a driver’s side tyre and stopped the vehicle.
He was eventually coaxed out of the vehicle and taken to Griffith Police Station.
