OVERCOMING a massive change in the club, Griffith continued its winning ways with a 17-5 win over Tumut at Jarrah Park on Saturday.
The premiers have plenty of new faces this season, but the result was the same.
After an even start the Blacks were able to get on top with solid work from Carl Tagliapietra and Callum Morrision, and it wasn’t until late in the game before the Bulls put them under too much pressure.
New co-coach Matt Vitucci was pleased with how the club responded after the long road trip.
“Fitness was lacking in a few areas, but it was a good, tough physical game and our forwards led the way,” Vitucci said.
“Our backs showed what they can do when they are given a bit of space.”
