Serious truck fire, Hume Highway
4:30pm Traffic moving slowly, expect some delays.
4:10pm An RFS spokesman confirmed six crews from Wagga, Tarcutta and Borambola have fully extinguished the blaze. The semi-trailer was carrying mail. The driver escaped the vehicle before it was fully engulfed by flames.
4:00pm One of two southbound lanes still closed 35km south of Gundagai. Salvage is expected to take until this evening clean up.
2:25pm Fire and police crews arrive on scene. No one believed to be injured.
2:15pm Serious truck fire on the Hume Highway, near the Wagga turn-off. Southbound traffic stopped.
