The only musical experience The Victoria Hotel licensee Harry Vearing has is from Thursday night karaoke.
But Mr Vearing is singing on the Wagga Takes Two stage from April 16 to 18 for Ronald McDonald House.
The experience of friends and colleagues who have used the service inspired Mr Vearing to name the charity as his benefactor.
“I just recently had two people close to me experience the kindness of Ronald McDonald House,” he said.
“Kids Cottage is something we’ve all heard of but you don’t get the full appreciation until you go down there.
“The local branch does a great job.”
Mr Vearing has held events to raise money and the final fundraiser is the prelude day at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club this Sunday with other contestants.
