
A man was killed and two others injured in a head-on collision near Old Junee on Wednesday.
The 61-year-old was behind the wheel of a Ford Falcon towing a box trailer along Canola Way when the sedan and a Mazda ute collided.
Emergency services sprang into action when the crash was called in around 4.50pm, and headed to the scene, located around eight kilometres west of Goldfields Way.
The driver died at the scene, police said, while his passenger suffered serious injuries.
He sustained a broken pelvise and a punctured lung and was taken to Wagga Base Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the ute, a 44-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Wagga for mandatory blood and urine tests.
Police from Wagga Wagga Local Area Command as well as specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. A report is being prepared for the coroner.
