The Red Cross Blood Service’s Youth Ambassador Program is uniting schools to participate in Red 25, which is rallying community groups and organisations across the country to achieve 25 per cent of all blood donations.
Community Relations Officer Rebekah Manwaring said Wagga school students have a proven track record as blood donors.
“Last year, Kooringal High School achieved the most donations of any school community in NSW for the third year in a row with Mater Dei Catholic College coming in second in the state,” she said.
“The Riverina Anglican College won the second category with the highest per cent of student donors in NSW.”
Wagga businesses or individuals are encouraged to donate to Red 25.
