The easing conditions means that from April 1, fire permits will no longer be required for Coolamon, Junee, Lockhart, Wagga and Urana Local Government Areas.
“Even though a permit is no longer a requirement, residents must still notify their neighbours and the local fire authority 24 hours before burning,” Superintendent Roger Orr said.
