POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted at licensed premises in Leeton on Friday night.
About 11.20pm officers from Griffith Local Area Command responded to reports of a brawl at a hotel on Pine Avenue.
Investigators were told that while the brawl was occurring outside the hotel, a 20-year-old woman was walking past the bar area when she was hit by a glass.
The woman was struck on the left side of her head, causing a laceration to the top of her ear.
NSW Ambulance Paramedics were called and provided initial treatment for the woman, who later attended Leeton Hospital for further treatment.
A crime scene has been established and inquiries into the matter are continuing.
Investigators are appealing for any witnesses to the incident who have not yet spoken to police to contact Leeton Police Station on 6953 1399 or Crime Stoppers.
