I think that maybe its time to have a police station in Ashmont.
I have to jump in here and say the support we as a group here and community are receiving is great, they are there helping us in every way, there hard efforts when arresting these people is thrown out once they hit the court systems.
I praise the Wagga police for there support and also Ella Smith the journalist who listened and was there for the community not just for the story thank you Ella. If all report suspicious behaviour no matter how small things will get better and when we set up this community meeting to help us with security knowledge etc this will deter them more.
When are our local members going to step up and do something about putting repeat offenders away in prison with mandatory long sentences? Judges and magistrates are incompetent. It's time sentencing was put in the hands of the community, not the latte sipping, limp-wristed members of the legal system. Why isn’t this an election issue? People, contact your local members and ask for mandatory tougher sentencing! This should be the number one state election issue.
What a great story, just read it now, so happy for him, congrats Daniel, from the family xx
