A SECOND man has faced court accused of a kidnapping that ended with a man being found chained to a tree in a national park.
Dwayne Simpson, 27, appeared in Griffith Local Court on Wednesday charged with detaining a person in company with intent to obtain advantage.
He was arrested by strike force detectives on January 23.
Simpson, of Griffith, did not apply for court bail, and it was formally refused.
His case was adjourned to the March 25 sittings of Griffith Local Court for the defence reply to the prosecution's brief of evidence.
A co-accused, 28-year-old Brandon Kay, also of Griffith, will face court the same day.
Kay, arrested on January 20, is charged with aggravated kidnapping.
He was refused bail by a magistrate in Deniliquin Local Court the same day Simpson was arrested.
The accused men were charged in relation to a 32-year-old man being found chained to a tree in Cocoparra National Park, near Yenda, on January 19.
A farmer stumbled across the alleged victim.
The strike force that charged Kay and Simpson is also investigating public shootings in Griffith last year.
Police believe the alleged kidnapping is drug related.
