The foreshore of the Wollundry Lagoon has been a busy place this week. The cast and creatives team involved in The Lizard of Oz having been having rehearsals and technical run throughs of the show.

There have been comings and goings, incredibly interesting set pieces have moved in interesting ways, a staff favourite has been Cyclone Matilda twirling across the lawn.
We’ve heard snippets of song and dialogue, its funny and quirky and will appeal to all members of the family.
This wonderful re-imagining of the classic tale The Wizard of Oz follows the adventures of a young Australian girl called Dotty. The show features a professional cast of Wagga residents and also ex-residents who now practice their craft in larger centres.
The Lizard of Oz will start at 6.15pm and move between three areas on the Wollundry Lagoon Foreshore.
This weekend there are performances Sunday, January 25 (with an earlier start time of 5.45pm) and Monday 26th, Australia Day.
Tickets are available online or at the box office, on the lawn, from 5.30pm (5pm on Sunday). Performances continue until Sunday, February 8 (each Thursday to Sunday).
Knights Meats are providing a range of delicious picnic options, two hamper sizes are available for pre-purchase. They will also be operating a barbeque before the show with special food options that have been designed especially for with the show, for example; echidna meatballs, lizard kebabs and dingo dogs.
The Civic Theatre team will be selling drinks, snacks and ice creams.

This summer our Twilight concerts have featured roving performers from 6pm, with the performance kicking off at 7pm.
