A TURN-OUT in excess of 10,000 people may have taken Wagga Live organisers by surprise last year, but this year they say they're ready for a big roll-up.

The first year of Wagga's New Year's Eve spectacular saw Committee4Wagga (C4W), who organises the event with support from Wagga City Council, hoping for about 6000 people to turn up, but the end result exceeded their wildest expectations.
"The success of that was because it was promoted as a family-friendly event and we used local talent," C4W chief executive Chris Fitzpatrick said.
"All the people who contributed were really behind it."
To cater for an anticipated bigger turn-out, the size of the Wagga Live site has been expanded, while the fireworks have been moved to the back of the site to increase the space available.
The amount of food stalls on site has been increased from six to more than 20, while there will be increased amenities available as well.
Organisers have worked to keep the entertainment local for the event's second edition.
Headlining the evening will be Wagga-raised former Wiggle Sam Moran - an exciting prospect for Belinda King from King Events, who is organising the evening's entertainment.
"Having a headline act is a great thing and being able to have Sam Moran with that tie-in to the Wagga community is fantastic," Ms King said.
"We've had a lot of positive reaction about him attending.
Gates will open at 5.30pm on December 31 for Wagga Live, with the event concluding at 12.30am on New Year's Day.
Firework displays will be held at 9.15pm and midnight.
An entry fee will be charged at Wagga Live this year - $5 for adults, $2 for children and $15 for a family ticket.
