So, naturally, he is travelling the country in a bid to set his own Guinness World Record to play bowls on the most amount of greens over 12 months.
As Frank passed through Wagga, he ticked off his 490th green at Wagga RSL and 491 at the Rules Club.
Why is he doing it?
"People think bowls is an old person's sport. I want to raise awareness and change that," he said.
"We need to replace all the 70-year-olds with the younger generation."
The Canberra resident is criss-crossing the country and aims to visit 700 clubs.
Frank, 71, is the first person in the world to attempt the record, but he hopes his record-setting feat inspires others to do the same.
"Keeping lawn bowls alive is what I want to do. I don't want people to be talking about the legacy of bowls," he said.
"It's such a wonderful sport and it would be a shame to see it die out."
According to Bowls Australia, there has been growing number of junior participants in the sport.
But the organisation suggests a perception still exists that it is largely a social sport for the elderly.
Frank describes the sport as "spontaneous" and sees himself playing it for as long as he remains fit.
Having travelled the country in the name of bowls, he is more determined than ever to put his newfound focus into practice on the green.
"The one thing I've learnt from this journey is that I have the ability to see something through," Frank said.
"I've never been able to do that before."
Frank will complete his last bowl in January next year as he makes his way back to Canberra through Victoria.
