NARRANDERA will be boosted by the return of Lachie Hunter and James Sullivan to the club next season.
The Eagles are keen to improve on this year's wooden spoon finish and have got off to the right start with the recruitment of two accomplished footballers.
Hunter spent two seasons at Narrandera in 2010-11 and took out the Eagles best and fairest award in both years.
Sullivan last played with Narrandera in 2012 and will prove a valuable addition across half-back.
The addition of Hunter and Sullivan comes as Narrandera has also sewn up its playing list from this year.
Narrandera coach Tim Sullivan is happy with the direction the club is headed.
"Lachie is a real good get," Sullivan said.
"He's still overseas and is not back until just before Christmas, but it's good to get him back.
"James as well, he's very reliable and will be really handy on a half-back flank."
Both Hunter and James Sullivan are overseas, but will return in coming months.
Sullivan hopes for further positive announcements in coming weeks.
"We're looking to get another three or four," he said.
"We want quality blokes and footballers, not just good footballers.
"We want guys who want to be here.
"Things are looking good now but we'll see how things pan out."
The Eagles have retained their list after holding player meetings.
Narrandera will begin training in "three or four weeks" for a pre-Christmas stint and then resume in late January.
Meanwhile, grand finalist Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes (MCUE) and Turvey Park are the only two Riverina Football League clubs still to announce a coach for next season.
Both clubs hope to make an announcement in coming weeks.
