The Wagga-raised entertainer will perform two shows during the evening.
Organisers of Wagga Live 2014 said about 12,000 people attended the 2013 event in the Victory Memorial Gardens and Civic Precinct, and they anticipate a similar number again this year.
In a statement released by the organisers, Mr Moran said that for him the start of the new year had always been about spending time with loved ones.
"So I can't wait to come back to my home town and 'rock the stage' at the Wagga Live New Year's Eve celebrations," Mr Moran said.
Wagga Live recently launched its website - www.waggalive.com.au - which will be updated regularly over coming months.
The Wagga Live "gates" will open at 5pm on December 31, with entertainment starting at 6pm.
Entry will cost $5 for adults and $2 for children.
A family ticket of $15 will be available.
Children aged under two will be admitted for free.
The event will finish at 12.30am.
