TEMORA is considering lodging an official complaint against a small group of players from a rival Football Wagga soccer club.
The Redbacks are weighing up their options following an ugly incident between experienced club member Adrian Weir and a section of Henwood Park players during a game three weeks ago.
Footage was taken of Weir punching one opposition player in the face, before other players rushed in to break up the fight.
He fronted the Football Wagga judiciary on Monday night and was slapped with a five-game suspension for striking.
Weir yesterday admitted he was in the wrong and said he would accept the penalty imposed on him.
But he wants action taken against the Hawks players who he claims antagonised him during the game, causing him to "snap".
He has alleged derogative comments were made about his family leading up to the brawl.
"I've played first grade rugby league and soccer for a long time and there's always sledging and banter between players," Weir explained to The Daily Advertiser.
"But these comments over-stepped the line in my opinion.
"When you start bringing family into it that's pushing the boundaries.
"There was a couple of certain players who just went way over the top.
"I just snapped, and I shouldn't have.

"I apologised to my family and to the club and now I'll move on.
"But it probably needs to be addressed by the association...these comments just aren't acceptable."
Football Wagga yesterday confirmed no official complaint has been lodged by Temora, but there is no time limit on such a report being handed in.
Association president Erwin Budde said an investigation can only be launched once the complaint is made official.
"If we receive a report we will act accordingly and investigate the matter," Budde said.
Weir claims he was the victim of similar comments when Temora played Henwood Park in round seven this year.
Hawks senior vice president Jeff Ingram was shocked to hear of the allegations when contacted by The Daily Advertiser.
"This is the first I've heard about it," Ingram said.
"Why would we investigate something when no official allegation has been made?"
Weir is unlikely to get back on the paddock this season as the competition enters its new split-round system.
