The Riverina Football Netball League (RFNL) grand final will stay at Narrandera Sportsground.
RFNL clubs this week voted unanimously to keep the football and netball grand finals at its traditional home for another year.
There had been suggestions that Robertson Oval would come into calculations this season with the top four teams in the senior football competition all based around Wagga.
But RFNL clubs slammed the door shut on a possible Robertson Oval grand final by locking Narrandera, the unofficial home of the RFNL, in for another year.
AFL Riverina football operations manager Shane Buchanan said clubs considered all options before the decision was made.
"Clubs acknowledged that the final make up of teams will predominantly be made up of middle to eastern clubs but they were also mindful at the meeting that some western based clubs will also be competing in finals," Buchanan said.
"They were mindful of all of that when it came to allocation of venues."
If the top two teams on the ladder currently make it through, the grand final will be played between Collingullie-Ashmont-Kapooka and Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes.
One official suggested that Robertson Oval would be the logical venue for such a grand final but RFNL clubs did not want to wait and locked Narrandera Sportsground in.
The remainder of the RFNL finals venues are still to be decided, they will virtually be shared between Narrandera Sportsground and Robertson Oval.
The RFNL competition management committee will decide on venues next month.
RFNL clubs also agreed not to pursue another night final.
Last year's second semi-final between Coolamon and Collingullie-Ashmont-Kapooka was played under lights in the twilight time slot but was not overly successful.
The Jim Quinn Medal presentation night has also been booked in for Tuesday September 9.
