"REVENGE" is a word often used with caution by football coaches but Temora leader Mark Kruger isn't afraid to throw it around this week.
The Kangaroos are using their round six loss to East Wagga-Kooringal as a motivator as they prepare for Saturday's rematch at Nixon Park.
The Hawks sprang an upset victory when they surged late to win by four points at Gumly Oval back in May.
It marked Temora's first loss in more than eight months.
Kruger admitted he is looking forward to getting one back on his fellow Farrer League title contender.
"There's an element of revenge there, for sure," Kruger said.
"I think there has to be.
"The boys have got to get up for the challenge and what better challenge than playing a team that has already beaten you.
"We're not fond of getting beaten and when we do we always like to get one back on them."
Prolific EWK goal kicker Marc Geppert booted three majors when the Hawks rolled Temora and he will line up in the square again this week.
He lost his direct opponent early that game when Roos defender Mark Breust sustained a knee injury, and was subsequently replaced by Charlie Vallance.
Kruger has earmarked Breust to get the job again but says he will need a hand to limit the influence of Geppert.
"It will need to be a whole-team defence," he said.
"Breust will get the job on Gep but we need guys like Charlie (Vallance) and young Jacob Turner back there to help out."
Temora's defensive six will be bolstered with the return of captain Chris Block from suspension.
Teenage tall Daniel Leary could also move to centre half-back as ruckman Chris Stacey returns from injury.
Kruger (groin), Tim McAuley (knee) and Sam Fisher (leg) remain sidelined with their respective injuries, while Luke Gerhard will return from a 12-week back injury to play reserve grade.
Teenage gun Jack Irvine will miss another game as he represents NSW-ACT Rams in the TAC Cup.
