The chapel building has sat dormant since mid-2009, but was purchased last year by Rachael Lloyd who has rebranded it as the Quintessential Chapel and opened it up once again for non-denominational services.
Ms Eastment said she thought it was special that she and her fiance were going to be the first to be married at the restored chapel.
"I saw it on Facebook and thought, 'oh that's the place', and here we are," she said.
"It's beautiful inside, they've done a really good job."
Mr Kearnes agrees with his fiancee's assessment of the venue and said he was right on board when she suggested it for the wedding.
"I was happy to do whatever she was happy to do," he said.
The Trinity Lutheran Church in Uranquinty originally opened on May 8, 1922, and continued to hold regular Lutheran services until May 3, 2009.
