AG COLLEGE look to be finally be getting its season into gear with coaching prospects starting to take shape.
The only team in the competition yet to secure the services of a coach, the long wait appears to coming to an end.
"We are in the process of having someone out there with us fairly soon," new president Phil Koch said.
Koch expects an signing in the coming weeks, but in the meantime the club will playing their first pre-season games in the Rugby 10s tournament on Saturday at the Albury Showground.
There are at eight teams entered into tournament which is the curtain raiser for the Super Rugby trial match between NSW Waratahs and Melbourne Rebels.
SIRU clubs CSU, Griffith and Albury have also entered along with Group Nine premiers Albury Thunder and Melbourne club Box Hill.
While without a coach a number of seniors club men have been working together to try and kick start their season.
The prospect of playing on Saturday without a coach looms as problematic but Koch didn't believe it would cause too many headaches.
Ag College haven't had any new players come to club yet, with Koch looking for the return of university next month to start their recruitment drive.
Aggies had a disappointing season last year falling from premiers to missing out on Premier Division finals.
After finishing fifth in the six tier competition and were beaten by Temora in the first division grand final 33-30.
The club has already locked in two trials in March against Forbes and Bathurst Uni before the April 5 start to the SIRU season.
