National Director Contract Management at Department of Veterans' Affairs Effie Cauchi visited the city last week to present Marie with a service badge acknowledging the 30 year commitment she has made to the organisation.
RSL Day Club deputy coordinator Marie O'Keefe said members watched proudly as Marie was presented with the badge.
"It is very special," Mrs O'Keefe said.
"She is a wonderful woman who has made a huge contribution to the club as a founding member."
The presentation was one of the highlights of the club's 30th anniversary celebrations at the Wagga RSL Club last week.
The Wagga RSL Day Club provides a weekly social program for older members of the community which offers support and friendship to people who are unable to attend more active activities.
With the support of the Australian Government Department of Veterans' Affairs and the Returned and Services League of Australia, Day Clubs provide elderly or older people with an opportunity to enjoy a range of activities including gentle exercises, quizzes, games, entertainment, guest speakers and special events.
