Both northbound lanes of the Hume Highway were closed south of Tarcutta following the accident but one northbound lane was since been re-opened.
The accident about 15km south of Tarcutta occurred shortly after 9am this morning.
Emergency services are in attendance and a HAZMAT team has been sent following reports of diesel over the road.
