A HUGE crowd flocked to the Little Big Day Out at the Wollundry Lagoon yesterday, prompting organiser Carly Pieper to declare the event a “massive success”.Hundreds of parents and grandparents were led around the huge array of stalls set up at the lagoon by their eager and excited youngsters. With 28 stalls boasting a variety of different activities entertaining visitors to the Little Big Day Out, hosted by Wagga City Council, Ms Pieper was adamant the event had catered for everyone.“Even though the day is targeted at two to 12-year-olds, parents and the older children can still have a lot of fun here,”?she said.“There is really something for everyone here, the older kids and the parents are all having fun as well.“While the kids are enjoying taking part in the fun and interactive activities, the parents have the opportunity to learn more about what council does and what is on offer because they are watching while their children are participating. “I think they definitely take something away from the day.”Ms Pieper was thrilled with the turnout for the Little Big Day Out, pointing to popular performers the Rainbow Rascals as the day’s premier drawcard.“I’m very happy with the crowd already but by 11.30am when the Rainbow Rascals perform, the crowd will really swell,”?she said yesterday morning.“They are very popular, the kids just love them.”Along with the Rainbow Rascals, face painting proved to be a winner with the children at the Little Big Day Out.
