The challenge encourages local businesses and organisations to compete to see who can make the most blood donations over a one-year period.Winners of the challenge are then calculated according to the highest total donations and the highest percentage of employees donating blood.Australian Red Cross Blood Service operations manager NSW Garry Wolfe said a total of 98 local businesses participated in the 2007 Wagga Challenge, with a total of 880 donations recorded throughout the year.Mr Wolfe announced Charles Sturt University as the highest overall winner, with 130 donations, while Fitzpatrick’s Real Estate and Prior Fox Landscapes were recognised for having the highest percentage of employees donating blood.“Each blood donation can help save three lives, so potentially 111 lives have been improved by donations of Prior Fox Landscapes and Fitzpatrick’s Real Estate in just one year. This is amazing.” Mr Wolfe said. For information, contact Kathryn Wyss on 6042 2013 or kwyss@arcbs.recross.org.au.Club Red Wagga Corporate Challenge 2007 OrganisationDonations1. CSU1302.
