Detectives from NSW Police's Child Abuse Squad arrested a 52-year-old man at Holbrook police station on Tuesday morning, where he was charged with six counts each of indecent and common assault.
It is alleged the man indecently assaulted three female students - one aged 15, the others aged 16 - on separate occasions during March and April.
According to police, the offences occurred "on-campus at a tertiary education facility in Wagga".
In a statement, a spokeswoman for the TAFE NSW Riverina Institute said the organisation was assisting police.
"The individual charged by the police was a part-time teacher at Riverina Institute but is not currently employed," the statement said.
"TAFE NSW and Riverina Institute are fully collaborating with police in the investigation of this matter.
"The individual has been placed on the not to be employed list during this time."
The organisation stressed student wellbeing was a high priority.
The man was granted conditional bail and will front Wagga Local Court on September 10.
