1. MG Club’s Gathering of the Faithful
Formed in 1990, the Morris Garages Car Club of Wagga is a hub for people to unite in their passion.
President Darryl Ross said the biggest event for MG fans this weekend’s “Gathering of the Faithful' which is in its 23rd year with more than 100 cars often in attendance.
Highlights include Friday night’s Noggin' n Natter buffet dinner, the Saturday afternoon Fun Run and afternoon tea and Saturday night's "GOF" dinner.

2. Erin Earth and Mount Erin Heritage Centre Open Day
Prepare for spring with handy lessons and tips on everything from managing hayfever to seasonal veggie patch planting at Erin Earth’s open day.
Workshops include: Asthma Friendly Gardening with Robyn Paton, Early Tomato Growing, Summer mulch and watering and Attacking the spring weed flush.
Kids interactive activities run all day.

3. The Wagga Show
Roll up, it’s showtime.
Preparations for the 154th Wagga Show are ramping up.
The line-up includes cake decorating, poultry, farm produce, photography and the farmer’s challenge.

4. Break the Cycle
On Saturday, September 8 Wellways is hosting their “Break the Cycle- Share the Journey” community awareness and fundraising event for World Suicide Prevention Day.
The will be setting up four stationary bikes with the aim to peddle 593kms within a 12 hr period to support of suicide prevention.
They are looking for individuals, community groups and or business to support the event through registering to ride with a financial donation of choice.
Timeslots are flexible and are up to individual or team’s choice and the aim to keep all bikes going for the 12 hour period.
If you are not wanting to ride but still wish to be involved, staff will be located at the event on the day.

5. The Realism of War: Works of Humanity by George Gittoes.
Renowned war artist George Gittoes paints the horrors and heroics he witnessed in conflict zones over recent decades, including Rwanda, Nicaragua, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Gittoes is in Wagga to launch Museum of the Riverina’s bold new exhibition The Realism of War: Works of Humanity by George Gittoes.
As the Centenary of ANZAC draws to its close, The Realism of War will prompt reflection upon the traumas brought home to a peaceful land from battlefields abroad.
The exhibition will include a selection of the artist’s paintings and drawings, photographs, service records and films.
The Realism of War: Works of Humanity by George Gittoes will be on exhibition September 6 to November 18 at Museum of the Riverina’s Historic Council Chambers.
