The Casuals leaped past Katana Security Wizards to finish in second spot and book a showdown with MJR Electrics in next week’s major semi-final.
While The Casuals were helped by a forfeit from wooden spooners Advanced Communications Cobras, a 7-6 win to Quolls over Katana shook the ladder up.
The loss dropped Katana to third and they will now face Quolls again next week in a sudden death semi.
“It worked out really good,” The Casuals’ Zac Graham said.
“It was good to snap up second spot.”
Graham is confident The Casuals can give minor premiers, MJR Electrics, a shake next week.
“We shouldn’t go too bad if we all turn up switched on and play our best footy,” Graham said.
Meantime, Don Tuckwell’s Audio finished the women’s Premier League regular season with a 7-4 win over Bar Up Bullbars.
In the other game, second-placed AKW Jets beat bottom-placed Young Guns 7-3.
Don Tuckwell’s Audio will meet AKW Jets in next week’s major semi-final, with a grand final spot up for grabs.
Bar Up Bullbars and Young Guns will face off in the sudden death minor semi-final.
