All six clubs will play visitors from outside the group in the opening round.

Young will face Sydney side Moore Park Broncos, Kangaroos tackle Group 11 grand finalists Oberon while Southcity tackle another Group 11 heavyweight in Bathurst Panthers.

Junee faces off with Canberra outfit Woden Valley, Temora tackles Group 20 preliminary finalists Tullibigeal-Lakes United while Brothers will tackle South Coast club Shellharbour in their knockout debut.

Brothers coach Terry Westblade believes it will be a good experience against the Group Seven club and the knockout will help determine where his team is at.

“There are some good sides there playing,” Westblade said.

“It looks good and it should be interesting.”

Westblade said the squad will be close to full strength.

However Ed Ansell will miss after injuring his ankle playing for Riverina on the weekend while there is also some doubt surrounding new recruit Clifford Morris.

He’s been pleased with the how the pre-season has panned out with big numbers in seniors.

“The guys have been really keen and have trained well,” Westblade said.

“We still have a fair bit to do with a few players but apart from that they are all looking pretty healthy.”

In the other clashes West Wyalong will play Cobar while Yenda takes on Nowra.

Temora plays in the first game at 6.30pm.
