Kooringal ensured they maintained their undefeated status with an 8-4 victory over a gallant Wagga High School in the round three game at French Fields on Monday.
The other round three game produced some excitement before Mater Dei prevailed with a 7-4 victory over The Riverina Anglican College (TRAC).
The win moved Mater Dei into second position on the points table and booked their berth into the final.
Kooringal High defeated Mater Dei in last year’s Shield final and will start warm favourites after winning an earlier replay 8-3 last Monday.
Wagga High and TRAC will kick-off proceedings at French Fields with the play-off for third and fourth at 4.30pm.
It could go either way after both teams played out a 5-all draw earlier in the competition.
Kooringal and Mater Dei will then play off for the Shield at 5.15pm.
