As many of the city’s restaurants put the finishing touches to special menus for February 14, even the Wagga City Council is getting into the spirit.
Art lovers can visit an Australia-first exhibition of 25 winning entries from the Bald Archy Prize at the Museum of the Riverina’s Civic Centre site or enjoy a classic tale of romance in the Wagga City Library, while listening to cabaret artist Peter Casey’s piano performance, from 5.30pm.
At 8.30pm, there will be a free screening of The Princess Bride. Popcorn will be available, but fans of the iconic film can bring their own picnic and drinks.
At Charlie’s Chocolatier and Patisserie, chocolatier Pearly Quah is putting the final touches on special Valentine's Day offerings, which will include berry kisses or maple ganache-filled treats.
