Pfieffer will send lightly-raced three-year-old filly Well Versed to Tumut to contest the Wagga & District Racing Supporters Maiden Handicap (1400m).
It will be more than 800 kilometre round trip for a $6000 maiden.
It will be a busy day for Pfieffer’s stable with a runner in at Tumut, Newcastle and Randwick on Saturday. After having runners at Canberra and Canterbury on Friday.
Tumut Turf Club will host a five-race card. It is the club’s ‘family race day and there will be pony rides and a jumping castle available for kids.
The last race, the Ray White Real Estate Benchmark 55 Handicap (1000m) will be the most hotly-contested event of the day.
Trevor Sutherland’s last-start Tumut winner Oh What A Thief will be looking to repeat his effort when winning by three lengths on Boxing Day.
