The husband and wife team will bring six dogs across to the 11-race card at Wagga.
While the experts have tipped a couple of others from their kennel to win on the night, Jack Roy believes Charlie’s Chance is the pick of their team.
A winner of eight races, Charlie’s Chance will contest the third heat of the Wagga to Goulburn (400m).
“Probably Charlie’s Chance. He’s drawn good,” Roy said.
“He can be a little tardy out of the box but he’s got a big motor and if he has any luck he can win.”
Extreme Chance has been selected to win a very competitive Caltex On Fernleigh Stakes (320m). Roy can see why.
“She’s won 37 races,” he said.
“She’s a veteran you’ve got to remember but she’s going good. She’s another one that’s not drawn the best but she’s a chance.”
Another strong hope for the Roys is Rear Chance in the opening heat of the Wagga to Goulburn (400m). They also have Tina’s Chance in the race.
Roy revealed box one is not ideal for Rear Chance.
“She’s graded well, she’s won 19 races,” Roy said.
“She’s very badly boxed. She wants wide, she wants to be drawn eight. In saying that, she has won from the one before, but it’s not the best for her.”
The Roys have nine greyhounds in work at their Wallendbeen property.
They will bring the dogs across in cool coats in attempt to beat the heat.
The first race at Wagga is due to start at 7.45pm.
