Jets president Terry Walker yesterday confirmed the club had made a strong start to its off-season recruitment with the signings of three class midfielders plus a tall utility.
Canberra footballers Dane Keenes and Declan O'Rourke have signed with the club, along with highly rated Northern Riverina League midfielder Aaron Hart.
Hart, 21, has been a standout for Lake Cargelligo over the past two seasons and will join former Leeton-Whitton junior Nathan Hunter in crossing from the Northern Riverina League.
The four recruits are just the start of the Jets' off-season movements with at least one other signing to be announced later this week.
Walker was also happy to announce that the Jets are yet to lose any players and remain confident of retaining the entirety of last season's playing list.
Walker said the addition of three midfielders will allow Jets coach Jamie Grintell to play as a permanent forward.
"That's why we went out targeting on-ballers," Walker said yesterday.
"Jamie can sit up forward, where he is very dangerous.
"Last year we just weren't quite strong enough and he had to spend time in the midfield.
"These new guys will complement Chris Bell and Mitch Haddrill very nicely."
The club is still in discussions with talented junior Lenny Haddrill, who returned from Canberra to play out the last few games of the season with the Jets.
The signing of Keenes, who joined him, and O'Rourke is expected to increase the chances of Haddrill staying at the Jets.
Walker said the Jets would announce a further signing this week, and were still in discussions with a handful of other players.
The focus is to be successful in the 10th season since Ardlethan and Ariah Park-Mirrool merged to form the Jets.
"This will be our 10th season as the Jets and it's something, well you want to be successful every year, but it's something that's been in the back of our heads," Walker said.
Grintell is thrilled with the club's start to the off-season.
"It's great to get so many this early," Grintell said.
