One of the best things about summer is having a relaxing evening after a hot day, and Wagga musician Dale Allison says he has the perfect fix for the community keen to just chill out on a Friday afternoon.

“It’s ‘Sunset by the Lake’ and it’s a great new initiative which is free for the community,” Mr Allison said.
“The idea is to come along with the whole family, enjoy the scenery by the lake, listen to the music by our band Groove Factory, plus special guests Jamie Way, Troy Fisher and Matt Olsen, and we also have some talented students from schools around Wagga who will be opening the show.”
Starting from 6pm and running through to 8pm, Mr Allison says it gives everyone a chance to enjoy the show and head home by the time the sun’s gone down.
“Bring your picnic basket. They’re got great facilities at Apex Park including barbecues, a play area for the kids, you can sit on the rug and enjoy the entertainment and just have a good family time,” Mr Allison said.
“It’s that time of year. I’ve had quite a few people saying they’re bringing visitors to Wagga Wagga to the event.
“It’s a good way to showcase Wagga, and then we will be back to do it again on January 19 and February 23.”
