Update 5.46pm Sunday: The missing Minion has been found and returned to Abbey. Someone on social media read The Daily Advertiser’s article online, saw pictures of the missing Minion and was able to track it down and return it to Abbey on Sunday afternoon.

Earlier: An eight-year-old Wagga girl was heartbroken after a beloved Minion Christmas decoration was stolen.
Tatton mother Jackie Forbes said the wooden Minion – standing more than one-metre tall – was specially ordered for her autistic daughter, Abbey.
The large Pixar movie character went missing on Friday night, just two-weeks before Christmas.
“Minions are her life,” Ms Forbes said.
“You only need to look at the picture of her standing next to it, in her Minion pajamas, cuddling her toy Minion to see that.
“She’s absolutely devastated.”
Ms Forbes took to social media on Saturday, to offer a reward for its return.
The Minion was one of three yellow characters – from the popular children’s movies Minions and Despicable Me – used to decorate the front of the family’s home, alongside a set Toy Story characters.
Ms Forbes said a family friend had seen the Minion sometime after 10.30pm on Friday, as they drove past the Forbes’ house.
“This morning it was gone,” she said.
“We’ve put a sign out the front offering a reward … we thought it might entice them to bring it back.”
The mother-of-two said she and her husband, Mark, did not hold a lot of hope for its return but would try every avenue before giving up.
